FREEDOM FROM LIMITATION

Freedom can be described as to set oneloose from bondage or remove restrictions that hinder ones jubilation,enjoyment, progress and breakthrough in life. Many Christians have not beenenjoying the goodness of the Lord, the way God want them to enjoy it. The enemyhas placed limitation on the life of many hence they are not enjoying thefreedom given to us by Jesus. Most countries in the world were once under therule of another country before they got their freedom. Everybody wants to havefreedom in this life but some do not achieve this freedom before their death.

Limitation is the restriction to whatone can do, achieve or posses. It is an embargo on your movement, progress,prosperity and well being. The enemy has erected some demonic gates againstmany that they are restricted from going in to posses their possession. Nowonder many Christians that are supposed to be flying at mountain tops likeeagle are living below average.

When the children of Israel left Egyptto go to the Promised Land, the enemy placed a limitation on their way- the redsea. In the book of Exodus 14:21, the Bible made us to understand that the RedSea wanted to restrict the children of Israel from crossing over to Jordan butthe Lord turned it into blessing for them. The Red Sea was supposed to stop theIsraelites but it turned out to be a weapon of deliverance for them. The Lorddivided the Red Sea for the Israelites to pass through and used the same RedSea to drown the Egyptians in Exodus 14:26-30.

Child of God I do not care to knowwhatever limitation the enemy has placed over your life. I have good news foryou. The Jehovah that turns the Red Sea to weapon of deliverance is the sameyesterday, today and forever. The Red Sea did not place limitation on theIsraelites rather it gave them permanent freedom over their enemies. In likemanner every limitation the enemy has placed over your life will surely work toyour favour. For sure they will turn out to be blessings in disguise to yourlife.

The enemy planned to limit Paul andSilas from preaching the Gospel by putting them into prison. The Bible says inthe Book of Acts 16:22-24 “A mob quickly formed against Paul and Silas, and thecity officials ordered them stripped and beaten with wooden rods. They wereseverely beaten, and then they were thrown into prison. The jailer was orderedto make sure they didn’t escape. So he took no chances but put them intothe inner dungeon and clamped their feet in the stocks”

However they got it wrong for Paul andSilas knew how to get their freedom. They refused to murmur or complain. One ofthe most dangerous vices destroying Christians today is murmuring andcomplaining. Paul and Silas chose to worship and praise their God instead ofmurmuring. God gave them freedom and turned their limitation to blessing indisguise. The same people that wanted to restrict Paul and Silas were askinghim what they can do to get their divine freedom. The Bible gave account ofthis in Acts 16:25-30 “Around midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singinghymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Suddenly, there was agreat earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doorsflew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off! The jailer woke upto see the prison doors wide open. He assumed the prisoners had escaped, so hedrew his sword to kill himself. But Paul shouted to him, “Don’t do it! We areall here!”

Trembling with fear, the jailer calledfor lights and ran to the dungeon and fell down before Paul and Silas. Hebrought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”. Child of Godmy message for you is that those that want to limit your freedom will worshipyou to get their freedom.

Jericho was fortified with heavy wallto hinder the Israelites from entering the city. The city of Jericho had gatessignifying that the movement of the children of Israel is restricted. Gates areaccess for you to reach your destination. Today demonic gates have been erectedagainst many through incantation, enchantment, demonic invocation to mentionbut a few. Jesus has taken care of that when He gave you power in Luke 10:19 “Behold,I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all thepower of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” The wall ofJericho must fall for your sake.

Joshua refused to use the conventionalweapons to fight for their freedom. Carnal weapons may not set you free fromyour limitations. Spiritual weapons are more effective than dynamites. Jesuschose not to blow off the city with dynamite but to march round the walls.Ordinarily it looks like a stupid idea but God gave them victory through thefoolish things of men. The Bible said that the city crumbled after Joshua andHis men marched round the city and shouted in Joshua 6:20 “So the peopleshouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when thepeople heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a greatshout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city,every man straight before him, and they took the city.”

Child of God you must have yourfreedom. Do not allow anything to intimidate you. God is waiting to give youfreedom from your limitations. All you have to do is to fight with yourspiritual weapons (blood of Jesus, fasting and prayers, singing and praises)and you will see the gate of Jericho in your life crumble before you.
